Banaba is a herb native to the Philippines and Southeast Asia with a blend of compounds that have been used to combat type 2 diabetes. One of the compounds is corosolic acid which has been known to help lower blood glucose by inhibiting the uptake (the digestion and absorption) of carbohydrates to a degree and transferring them into cells from the bloodstream.
